What is a fistula?
An infection in the vagina can cause symptoms like pain, bleeding and discomfort, but sometimes it can be painful and cause problems such as bleeding in the area.
To treat the condition, doctors usually use a surgical procedure called fistula surgery.
There are a number of procedures for vaginal rejuvenating surgery, face lift surgery and osseous surgical procedures that involve the removal of the uterus.
The procedure is done by removing the uterus and inserting a small plastic device called a suturing.
There is no cure for fistula.
If you have had a fistulotomy or have a procedure done by a specialist, talk to your doctor about how to treat it.

The condition affects about one in 100,000 women in the U.S. according to the U-M Women’s Health Program.
