Sharks get back Brad Marchand for his season-ending shoulder surgery
The Sharks announced on Tuesday that forward Brad Marchis will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
The surgery will be performed by Dr. David St. John at UCSF Medical Center.
Marchis had surgery on Oct. 14.
The Sharks were also forced to release defenseman Brent Burns after he underwent shoulder surgery on Nov. 18.
Burns was expected to miss approximately six months.
March and Burns both have been cleared to return to the lineup.
The team also recalled defenseman Matt Irwin from the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League on a conditioning call on Tuesday.
Irwin has played for the Stars since the end of the 2017-18 season.
