Arthroscopy surgery performed on Irish man who died after collapsing in hospital
A man has died after falling ill in hospital after suffering cardiac arrest.
He was admitted to hospital on Saturday and died on Sunday.
He had been treated for severe allergic reactions and had been on life support for the past 24 hours.
The cause of death is not known.
The Health Service Executive said there was no immediate threat to the public.
The GP who treated him told Irish media that the patient’s condition had been “stable”.
The patient had previously attended the Royal Irish College of Surgeons’ Cardiac Centre in Drogheda.
